Julie Gallivan, MA, LLPC, HS-BSP

Julie completed her BS in Psychology in 2009.  She went on to complete her MA in Human Services with a focus in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2013.  Later, she returned to school and completed a second MA in Counseling with a cognate in Addictions. Julie has worked in an at-risk school where she completed in-home visits.  She also worked as a women’s advocate at Mel Trotter Ministries and worked with women struggling with addiction, homelessness, mental health issues, and/or other barriers to housing and employment.  Julie walked beside the women at MTM, encouraging them as they worked towards autonomy, wholeness, and healing. She is also an adoptive parent of four older special needs children. (Julie works from her own home office location.)

Andrea Hagen, LMSW-C

Andrea obtained both her Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work degrees from Western Michigan University. Since 2008, she has worked with individuals, children, and families involved with the child welfare system. She has worked closely with the family court system and other community agencies. Andrea is trauma-informed and believes that everyone can benefit from therapy, as she understands that our mental health is just as important as our physical health. Andrea has experience working with individuals experiencing depression, trauma, anxiety, and life stressors. She holds space for the individuals that she works with and hopes to create a safe space for them to process their feelings and work towards healing.

Erin Heavilin, NP| Prescriber

Erin Heavilin is board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with ten years of experience working in the mental health field. Erin received her undergraduate nursing degree from Western Michigan University and her graduate degree from the University of Colorado. She was recognized by the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, for academic excellence upon completion of both programs.  She was also awarded the Western Michigan University Community Service Award for her volunteer work in the community.  

As a nurse practitioner, Erin recognizes that psychiatric illnesses are biological conditions induced by physiologic changes in the body while applying core nursing principles to provide care that leads to recovery and contributes to the overall quality of life and wellness. Erin focuses on using evidence-based treatment while approaching care with an open mind and flexibility, as research has consistently shown that delivering care to the whole person based on a strong foundation of scientific knowledge leads to positive outcomes. Erin believes in partnering with individuals, families, and communities, as well as working with a multidisciplinary team, to offer the most comprehensive, effective, and meaningful care. Erin treats individuals and families, of all ages, and has experience treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions using both medication and non-medication treatment interventions.  

Abbey Murphy, MA, LPC, LLMFT

Abbey strives to create an open and non-judgmental environment that is essential to open up communication and trust in the counseling room. She utilizes evidence-based practices to better serve those who walk in her door. Abbey’s goal is to create an individualized plan for success and meet individuals where they are in the counseling process. Abbey will journey alongside each individual to help guide them through the darkness to light. Abbey graduated from Western Michigan University in 2019 with a Master’s degree in couple, marriage, and family counseling. Abbey specializes in both individual counseling for adolescents, and adults, along with couple, and family counseling. Abbey offers couples counseling using the Gottman method, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy for adolescents, and individual and family therapy.

Heather Pajonk, MA, LMSW

Heather graduated with her master’s in social work from Western Michigan University in 2018, specializing in trauma over the lifespan and TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for children and their caregivers). Since then, she has worked at her community mental health agency as a case manager and home-based therapist. Heather is trained in TF-CBT, fetal alcohol spectrum treatment, and Motivational Interviewing. She has experience in using family and couples therapy, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). She has worked with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, complex trauma, and family conflict. With her clients, Heather focuses on their strengths and empowers them in their journey. Heather believes that therapy is about holding an individual or family’s story and walking alongside them in a non-judgmental and trauma-informed way.

Amanda Sheffield, LMSW-C

Amanda obtained a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and Master of Science in Justice and Security Administration through the University of Phoenix. She also earned her Master of Social Work from Michigan State University in 2017. She worked for Ottawa County Probate Court for 16 years as a judicial clerk and Deputy Register. Amanda has worked for Community Mental Health since 2017, working initially for Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) and individuals with severe and persistent mental illnesses. She then worked as a home-based child and family therapist for two years, and an outpatient therapist on a Multidisciplinary Team. She is currently a full-time clinician through Community Mental Health of Ottawa County serving as the law enforcement liaison on the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) in addition to working here at WMPS. Amanda is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), which is a modality used for those aged 3-18. She has experience in psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Amanda provides trauma-informed care in a safe and non-judgmental space. She enjoys working with children, adolescents, families, and adults. She is a mom of two girls and a dog and enjoys hiking and reading, and loves a good cup of coffee.

Richelle Witbrodt, MA, LLPC

Richelle has been working with children and adolescents since 2011 in diverse communities and across a variety of settings. She has worked both directly and indirectly in community mental health since 2019 in group and individual settings. Richelle completed her BA in Telecommunications at Michigan State University and her Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Western Michigan University. While at WMU, she was a member of the counseling profession’s international honors society Chi Sigma Iota. She has experience using a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Play Therapy.
